Exam Preparation

1.    The University of Cambridge ESOL (English as a Second Language)

At English for you we offer courses to prepare for the ESOL Examinations at the University of Cambridge. With a certificate from Cambridge ESOL your curriculum vitae will be enhanced and you will feel more comfortable using English effectively. More than 2 million people worldwide take a Cambridge ESOL exam each year. They do so to receive international recognition which attests their level of proficiency in English and consequently helps them in their studies or career.

CPE – Cambridge Proficiency Exam (C2)

CAE – Cambridge Advanced Exam (C1)

FCE – First Certificate Exam (B2)

PET – Preliminary English Test (B1)

KET – Key English Test (A2)

These levels are based on the   Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

We also prepare students for the following exams: BEC (Cambridge Business English Certificate), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication), IELTS ( International English Language Testing System).

2.    Trinity College of London

The examinations at Trinity College London test candidates’ ability to listen and speak English. This exam consists of an individual oral examination with a native English-speaking examiner, who has travelled from the United Kingdom. The examiner will give the candidate the opportunity to showcase their communication skills in English.

There are 12 levels in total that are based on the  Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

There are four stages which are divided into three levels:

STAGE 1: Basic Levels 1-2-3                    STAGE 3: Intermediate Levels 7-8-9

STAGE 2: Elementary Levels 4-5-6          STAGE 4: Advanced Levels 10-11-12

3.    Escuela Oficial de Idiomas

These are examinations that test the 4 basic skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading Comprehension and Writing.

There are 3 levels with 2 courses in each level: 

Basic Level– A2

Intermediate Level – B1

Advanced Level– B2 +

Aptitude Level – C1

By passing the Basic Level Test you obtain a Basic Level Certificate which is equivalent to Level A2 of the   Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. When you pass the Intermediate Level Test an Intermediate Level B1 Certificate is obtained, and on successfully passing an Advanced Level Test you obtain the Advanced Level Certificate, equivalent to Level B2 +. There is also an Aptitud Level for Advanced Level students equivalent to Level C1.

Groups and Levels
